You issued a Certificate, but the client postpones payment, or a mistake was made. You cannot delete the application because it would disrupt the sequential numbering of other recently issued certificates.
Solution: You can either Suspend the certificate (if already delivered) or, if unsent, edit the certificate number to match the new payment date. Click the "Edit" button next to the Certificate. Adjust the sequential number (e.g., from 50 to 52) to bypass taken slots. You can also change the year suffix (e.g., from -26 to -23) to backdate legacy certificates. The pencil icon next to the main Application Number serves the same function for the parent application record.
